Err, no, not quite. I'm on the judging panel of a new literary prize based in Birmingham, the International Rubery Book Award. It's a competition specifically for smaller, independent publishers. For more info, the award's website is here.

Here's an interview I did recently on BBC Radio WM. The presenter is a local news reporter, and when I met her a while ago (she was filming me for TV)  I said "I often name characters after people I know, so maybe I'll include you in my next book." And this is the result:
